What is this "hole" for?

Not to nitpick, but you don't need a cam sensor for wasted spark - and you'd need something turning at half speed, like a cam.

Yeah you're right, it would hit that sensor 2x per combustion event. I'm trying to buy a DSM CAS setup right now. I'm getting intermittent signal drop outs from my 2.2 distributor, I'm just tired of screwing around with it. It was a weak link before with EZK, it just transferred it's issues to the microsquirt. I'm thinking it's the pickup itself because when it drops out I can downshift and everything comes back to life with the higher rpms.
