Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
No PDM; that’s a bit too rich for my blood at the moment, although intriguing. I actually had maxx in the car for a bit while troubleshooting my starting issue a couple years ago. I have a couple friends locally who have been running maxx ecu in their cars for a few years so hopefully it’s a...
I was pushing for that before but not going to happen now. I’m putting MaxxECU in at the same time as the engine so there won’t be enough time to have it sorted.
A little disappointed; I really wanted to. I took on way too many side projects between the welding table, pergola for the deck, and...
I'm finally getting around to addressing the worn bearings in the engine--rebuild is well underway. Additionally, I've started capturing my garage endeavors in a new YouTube channel called Drive, Revive, Tinker. Check it out for the latest on the 242 as well as other tinkerings in the garage...
I used Lseat leather covers for my stock 242 rear seat and pair of Recaro LS-B in the front. My project thread linked in my signature should have photos. The fit is pretty good, but not perfect. I'm sure someone with more upholstery skill than me could get a better fit (they are a little baggy...
You'll likely have to ship them out, but you can reach out to this company for a quote on redrill cost

It's been a while. The garage has come a long way, but not much going on with the 242. It's sitting waiting for me to pull the engine to replace bearings after an oil starvation incident a year ago. There are a few other large upgrades on the backburner--we'll see when those happen. Now I can...
Thanks! I really appreciate that.

Quick update: New Garage
For the past 10 months, I've been trying to have a garage built at our new house. We're finally just about to break ground, with excavation starting next Wednesday. Now it's becoming all the more real and I'm starting to think a...
I just got my finished product back from the machinist. This allows you to bolt a getrag 265 up to a 960 bellhousing. I also found a pilot bearing that works with it.
If anyone is interested, I can see about getting more produced/putting together a group buy.
98 S70 T5 SE
It is stock with the exception of koni sports and ipd springs. The 245 was becoming less and less of a viable option for a daily driver, and the m47 is on it's last leg. Now the 240 can take up the official title of 'project'.
Anyways, this S70 will get some engine maintenance, a...
What size driveshaft bolts does my 84 245 turbo fitted from the factory with an AW71 use?
The normal 240 automatic driveshaft bolts do not fit... they are too big
Help, please! This is the last step to me getting my car driving!
my 245 is missing lower door trim on the passenger side... where do you guys get replacements? is there a place you can buy it or is it possible to remove from another car without rendering it useless?
In the rear of my 245, I'm running adjustable 2.5" perches with 250lb x 8" springs. Also running suburban bilstein HD's. The springs are not bound at full droop and I can hear them move around on larger bumps. I want that to go away...
Basically, I'm looking to see what others have done that...

its a loud knocking type of noise, but it doesn't sound like rod knock. it's a more hollow sound, and doesnt sound quite so deep down in the motor.
don't mind the smoke...
I just picked up an 87 245 with an M47 and a Torsen diff in the rear. I was told that it has the original R&P in it. This would make it a 3.31, correct? (I haven't checked yet).
I want to get a shorter ratio because the gearing is too tall for me. Either a 3.73 or 3.91 sounds attractive to me...
