STOCK TURBO SPECIFICATIONS
Welcome to the specification page for turbocharged 240/360/480/700/900 series
Volvo cars, the aim being to give the reader useful information and an overview
of model variations produced for the world market. The large family of 'B' series
turbo engines have evolved for over 15 years.
Engine's covered here are the B19ET, B21ET, B21FT, B23ET, B23FT, B200ET, B200FT,
B230ET, B230FT, B230GT and B204FT. The 'E' refers to the higher compression
leaded fuel versions (till 1989), and 'F' to the lower compression unleaded
fuel versions eg USA. All of the above turbo engines are four cylinder with
two valves per cylinder, except the newer 5cyl (FWD) which is not covered here.
The TD24 series turbo diesels are not specified in this edition.
Included is summary information, compression ratios and horsepower outputs,
camshafts, ignition timing, boost pressures, turbochargers, transmissions -both
manual and automatic, differential ratios, intercooler, performance specs, Group
A information. The majority of this information has been sourced from a variety
of Volvo publications.
