This looks awesome Scott!!! Great work. Has the guy seen the car since you have started on it?

Hairdryer and goo gone. Google a guide on how to remove emblems. Heatgun will destroy/bubble the paint.

There's a pretty good possibility that the paint wont match afterwards since that section of the car hasn't been exposed to sunlight.

Geez. The gist of this thread makes me think I should yank off my lower gray faded wide trim and just rock the purdy red.

If you're referring to the door trim there's several reasons why you should leave it on. The paint will be discolored (not that bad with a little buffing) but also chunks of that paint may lift up with the glue and then you also have 8-9 holes at the bottom of your fenders, doors, and quarter panels that you'll have to fill.

Just paint it black.

If you look at "John r h"s 245 project thread, you can see how he had to fill them in to get the pre 86 look.

Stock is "almost" mundane! That thing is sweet as heck, maybe this is the inspiration people need to stop crushing their damn 240's that have wee little rust holes int he floor or rockers, haha.
