Hello Mark - reading a thread about building NA engine you responded to.
like to build fast 242 for the street, considering NA vs a turbo, desire 250 to 300 HP that has some low end power reasonable for street use. I have a B230 squirt block, 2.5 Penta crank, 16V head and a Ford V8 Mustang T5 gear box. Can I accomplish this goal with the right parts and machining work on 93 octane with 11:1 compression? (E85 is not available locally) I prefer NA over a turbo but realize the turbo will easily get me to 300 HP. Have read many postings speculating about NA HP, your post looked like it was based on experience. I would plan on individual throttle bodies, maybe Unik Racing and tube headers with custom exhaust. Have also looked at Cat Cams. Have spoken to Yoshifab, he recommends the turbo approach but I don't like turbo charges (old school gear head). Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated.
