GLT was never sold in the australian market... are you sure your right in calling it a GLT? is it just a GL that has been +Ted?
unlikely to be a GLE because its manual, again never sold in australia (i converted mine). from what i gather, the GLE's sold here were really GLT's but without the turbo.
id recommend getting something stiffer than king springs. i just got the standard off the self ones, 30mm lower, 30% stiffer.
it did lower the car 30mm but i wouldnt say my car looks lowered, just have lost the 4wd stance. even with bilsteins and big sways doesnt corner as flat as i like. really depends on what u are after though. DVS offer king springs with different spring rates.
havent tried pedders or whiteline sways and dont know what sizes they offer. currently im running a ford falcon front sway bar, 26mm, without any issues. do a seach and u will find info on it. be careful though, in my previous post i have discribed the bar as coming from a EA-EL falcon however i think that is wrong. other people have posted the correct info though.
for the rear im running a dual 21 + 19 mm setup = 24mm (article on it found in the article section of this site). as for shocks im running the bilstein HD's all round. IPD or FCP groton are the cheapest places i found them new. i picked up mine second hand, the fronts through ebay and the rears off the forsale section her. the front werent exactly the good condition as describe and are due for rebuilding, with second hand u have to be careful.
roughly new from FCP its $135 fronts, $85 rear = $US500 ish shipped.
the upper chassis braces came as standard in the Australian market. the lower ones are considerably rarer, i stumbled upon my set at the wreckers. dead simple to make though, its just a matal tube flattened at both ends. i may or may not be able to track down another set if you are interested, or they are available through DVS also.
haha i may only be 19 but ive had more volvos than i care to count and currently have 4. hope ive been of some help. anymore questions and id be glad to answer.
