Saw your 245 FS thread, very nice car. read the details of the build. I'm interested in your car because it an automatic with all the cosmetic upgrades I really prefer. Yep I agree 200 mi per day would be a bunch, but mechanically the engine and tranny holding up OK? (i'm pretty much a lurker on TB, but you can find me over on Oregon Volvo Tuners as C70-SW)
by the way, my forst two cars wer a 60 Westfalia transporter and 62 bug.
i cut nothing out of the floor in my car i cut up the brackets off of a 240 seat and mounted the driver side to the floor and welded the back left of the rails onto the mount on the floor of the car. it sits lower then a stock 240 seat.
I'm glad! So often it's only the high end (money or performance) projects that get recognition. It's great to see one that isn't having oodles of money thrown at it, and still creating a great looking driver that's actually used!
Sure! here are a few pics of the 914. Subaru WRX EJ20 Turbo. It's bolted up to the stock 914 tranny right now, but we just got all the parts recently to put a WRX tranny in it. So far, it's made 201hp to the wheels at 10psi, and ran a 13.7 in the quarter, at 107mph. It's still a work in progress, but check it out:
