Oh cool! So you're the guy that heated the springs? HAHA, that thing rode so damn rough... I once had it loaded full of Volkswagen parts on my way to the big swap meet in Sacramento, with a full length roof rack loaded with all kinds of parts, probably 1500 pounds worth of stuff. We hit this huge bump on 132 and the wagon got like a foot of air on all 4 wheels! It literally bounced off the road! hahaha
I traded a cool 89 Golf for it to a kid in Novato who was a complete dumbass. I sold it to a turbobricks member named FattMatt805 who lives in Atascadero. He has raised it about 6 inches, and has started to do some bodywork to it, i think. While I had it, I put a new interior in it, an Isky cam, header, DGAV carb, new exhaust, rebuilt calipers, all rubber brake hoses, a master cylinder, brake booster, clutch..... I did a lot to that car! It got compliments everywhere I went. I do miss that thing.
