Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Lol exactly what I did. Popped the top plug out, got pulled away, didn't remove the bottom. This was on an 850. Topped up the coolant without thinking much of it. Few minutes into the road test over heating. Checked EVERYTHING before listening to my foreman at the time. Found the plug in the...
When you changed out the diff, did you change the bearings on the axles? Those things can absolutely HOWL when they go bad.
When driving a steady speed, if you rock the car side to side with the wheel, does the pitch change?

I'm running S60R rotors. I just want something I can bolt through the existing hole of the strut tube. Trying to avoid running brackets under the rotors. I was hoping the Nissan sensors you guys were mentioning would just bolt through.
Guess I'll just try ordering some other BMW sensors and...
I've ordered, what I thought were the correct sensors for the front, but everything keeps coming in too short.
Has anyone done this and can tell me a specific model year car I need the front sensor from?
It is possible I had the wrong sensor in the bag, but I've ordered twice now, neither...
When you put in the radiator, did you remember to pull any possible plugs out of the ports?
This is speaking from experience. I had pretty much the same thing. Changed the rad, car would over heat within 5-10 minutes of driving. Pulled the rad hose off, found the plug pushed itself into the...
Just grab the connectors from the engine side. You can buy new pins for all of them. Use the universal harness with the race and create your own harness. No need to splice into the existing harness.
What Canadian dealer are you dealing with? The one Brett pointed me to was awesome to deal...
I don't think I've taken a used k24 off and not seen a crack. Even Mitsubishi's crack. So long as the waste gate still seals, and the crack isn't through the turbine area, I wouldn't worry.
You will have a dash indication if the coolant level goes low on that car. So as long as coolant didn't go low, you didn't hurt anything.
No heat- look for sediment at the bottom of the bottle. If there is a build up, heater core might be plugged.
I have nothing but bad luck dealing with most extended warranty companies outside of the one recommended by Volvo. Probably different between Canada/us though.
Outside of CPO we have VIP which I believe is now administered by LGM. I'm not even sure if we recommend anything any more. I...
What you're describing is what happens with the blower motor resistor dies.
The thing is your wiring diagram doesn't show one. So I'm not sure what to believe.
If you can remind me Tuesday morning I'll pull up the actual diagram in VIDA and any info about the climate system.
*We change a...
Don't worry about it. Just enjoy it. Keep an eye on abnormal wear on the aux belt and watch for it starting to walk towards the front of the tensioner. Change them early.
For the oil consumption, Volvo does a 10K mile interval, which is 16K Km for me. I cut that in half on my car. I do a...
When that engine came out, we popped the hood and thought, "yup, never ending issues". Other than a few years of oil consumption, they turned out to be a pretty good engine. And you're right, they do drive nice. They can sound "busy", but they're nice driving.
The SI6 (the 3L Turbo, or the 3.2L NA engine) is fairly easy to work on once you get around its quirks. It is quite reliable. The timing chain is much nicer than the belt for maintenance/less failures. If you start looking at this engine to buy, make sure the auxillary belt, tensioner and...
