Ive never had an issue with the old gold ipd panhards. I also don't tighten them, just a little tug. otherwise yes it could sieze. Also could use copper anti sieze or the weak locktite.
clean gas, run a quart of some random snake oil, or a little bit of acetone, like 1 pint/quart for an entire tank, then go drive it hard for a few hours. DO NOT LET THAT ACETONE GAS SIT IN THE TANK, it will eat everything up.
Gotta drive the entire tank off. That is the german eurotrash fix...

A wideband afr also tells me if everything is ok or not.
I truly think the gas is shit new formula, and no one said anything. Unless I take gasoline to a lab there is now way of knowing if the ethanol content has changed.
