Ithaca is beautiful, spent a lot of springs up there fishing and camping at Taughannock Falls and Lake Cayuga. That looked like a pretty cool setup with the detached garage.
I laughed when I read the post about the fish and the 12/3, you might have gotten 14/2 through those corners but I...
This made my day, I'm going to work on my 240 for sure today after seeing this. What a fantastic job on the body work, I have not looked back far enough to see the engine or other photos but the build details sound as amazing as it looks in the last few photos. Really superb quality work, an...
I'd vote for selling me the V70 for $501 shipped, I need a new shell for my next P80 project! Nice looking wagon for sure.
Really though, that's a hard choice, it sounds like you have a more badass 945T as well, third car, if so if probably sell the silver 945, I think I'd rather have two...
I went with the AAE 3091N from Rock Auto, it was $345 with no core. Looks nice, good packing, nice information sheets for install and maintenance and another magnet. I will update after I see install it but seems like a good deal so far.
Mine are not salvageable, they are perished. Rotten by the old metal cancer. Holes in them and falling apart. If you look at the pics the abs sensor doesn't touch the ring at all, the backing plate itself needs a hole for the abs sensor but the ring does not interfere with the normal perimeter...
I'm trying to fix my car, lol, small repair turning into a major refresh of the whole steering and suspension systems. In disassembly I discovered that there is an additional metal ring between the big brake dust shield and the bearing, shown in the diagram as #20 (no #19 on my car in either...
That's actually nice to hear the later V6s were better sorted, so much Volvo knowledge still to learn on my end.
What about renting a home Depot truck and U Haul auto transport trailer if you wanted to do it sooner than later. I'd offer my truck and trailer but the equipment trailer is far from...
What you'd give your friend for a turbo, nice little PTE 6266?
Slab looks great, that's for new work shop obviously which is very exciting. I just managed to secure the vacant lot next to my house, short term have gained some parking and long term have gained room to build a garage so I can...
Thank you both, I do appreciate the encouragement. I see I forgot to post the initial LS teardown and some of the rebuild prep stuff. Basically decided to tear down the motor to have a fresh start. Im not at all sure this was the right approach but it did add quite a bit of cost and complexity...
Wow, making me give these classics a longer look, that is just a beautiful car, it's gorgeous, such shapes and elegant design, they really don't make cars like this anymore. Cars today look like they need to be on mood stabilizers, yours looks so happy and charming. What a wonderful opportunity...
First short block assembly for me, seems to be going ok. Turbo stuff to come soon. Got a few things on the motor to finish up, then drop it in along with the BTR converter and 4L80E. Got a bunch of stainless steel elbows and will build the turbo system shortly, then probably fuel and wiring I...
I bought two B cams a few years ago, both had only minor discoloration put one in and it's been running good since with normal wear, the other cam has been sitting on a shelf in my garage for 4 years with no visible change, same with some LS cams. Just observations, based on this thread I would...
