my engine (1993 b230ft with porting and an ipd turbo cam and an adjustable cam gear) is all done and running great but i want to make sure its running at its best..the reason I'm curious is because it has kinda low vacuum at idle..around 12-13 inches and only about 4 cruising down the road. i...

my wideband setup has a "narrowband output" wire that you can wire up to the oxygen sensor signal to your ecu so you only have to run 1 o2 sensor. my question is..does the factory ecu care if you have the heater part of the o2 sensor connected ? i know some ecu check to see if the heater hooked...
so my new engine is all built and I'm installing it tomorrow night...and I just realized my new turbo doesn't have a recirculation valve built into it like the factory one. can i run a BOV? cause theres no way I'm gonna buy another turbo. I'm pretty much assuming i cant go without anything?
this weekend I'm replacing my A/C compressor,o-rings,orifice, accumulator, and cleaning the entire system out. i have the adapters to r-134a already but i need to know how much oil and refrigerant i will need? car is a 91 940 turbo sedan.
my 940 sedan is fine unless i have several people in it and i try to accelerate hard...when i do it sounds like something is clunking against the underside of the body. almost like the drive shaft is hitting the body. it didn't change when i lowered it or when i put all new shock and struts on...
i have 205-55-16s on the 940 sedan right now with my ipd lowering springs and have to clearance issues but i could stand a wider tire. my g80 only seems to work 10% of the time so anything wider i can fit would be cool. is there any room to go bigger ?
im using Imgur.com to upload pics with bbcode and everything put up here is enormous...how the heck do you make the pictures smaller ? for some reason i can upload pictures to the site.
just realized there was even a place for a thread like this so here goes.

just tried to put the oil pan on my new b230ft with a brand new Elring oil pan gasket and ran into 2 weird things.
the gasket pops together like a puzzle...like literally has puzzle piece ends on it, no way thats what volvo used from the factory ??? :wtf:
secondly the holes don't line...
so what are the best upgrades for lh2.4 turbo cars. my 940 is getting a new engine and i would like to give it some better ignition but i have been told never to run aftermarket coils cause they wont work well. Are there any bigger coils that will work well ? i already have Kingsborne wires and...
my 91 940 turbo sedan has the abs with the giant single piston calipers in front. i have Akebono pads all around and slotted and dimpled rotors but i was wondering if there calipers from any other Volvo that are dual piston or that have more clamping force. i know my 87 760 turbo had dual piston...

I have alot of power draw in my 940 (stereo, high draw e -codes,etc) ans I'm having problems with the blue ground strap that goes to the intake getting really hot to the point if getting discolored. I have already upgraded to the 100 amp alternator. i was wondering, could a person take off the...
