Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Must be the wire between ignition and solenoid then, since the solenoid and ignition have been replaced. Any certain color on that wire or any other visual I could look for?
Where is the chassis connection? I'm guessing that I need to clean the connection at the chassis then, yeah? Can't seem to find anything else that could be causing this issue. It will randomly start first time, other times I have to turn key 10+ times to get it to try and kick over. Sometimes it...
Trying to chase down potential losses in power causing intermittent no starts, and I am trying to trace down the wire from the battery to the positive terminal, but can't for the life of me find where the positive terminal is to disconnect the other side. Any pointers to show me where I am too...
Hello, I have recently became the proud owner of a 16t to swap the 13c out with on the 92 740. The questions that I have are with the turbo to manifold, after drilling out the top two stud holes on the angled housing, how do I get a nut and bolt in the top hole closest to the exhaust flange? The...
With it potentially being the head gasket, is there any other potential demons/upgrades I should take care of while tore down that far? I would like to build the engine for 250-350hp, so I know I would like to do a better cam, injectors, fpr, etc. but wasn't sure if at that point I might as well...
Connection is good, but something is leaking onto the top of the ground connection causing it to go bad within a few days. would the knock sensor be able to have a leak or is that even a through hole? I don't have any coolant mixing with my oil so a head gasket wouldn't make sense.
Further update on this issue and new question, it is seeming that a sensor of some sort is leaking above the ground on the block, causing it to go bad after time. Any clue what sensor this is?
PROBLEM SOlVED!! I am an actual dumbass, and forgot to check the ground to the block, where my valve cover is just so conveniently leaking onto it. After cleaning the connections, the car fires right up! Thank you all!
I put a video of the issue in that Google drive. You can hear the starter and everything try to fully activate, and then you can hear me shooting for that high score until I win a started car!
Will do when I get the chance, it's just a standard push button from Autozone ran to a Rough Country wiring harness with inline relay. Works great when the starter is allowed to fully activate, haha!
Hello, reaching out to see if anybody has dealt with this issue like I have so far. I purchased my wagon a few years ago and after a while, it started to have an intermittent click/no start, and even cut out on me on the road a few times! Ended up rewiring the ignition signal to a push button...
I bought my 92 740t about a year or so ago, and when I bought it, the shop selling it said that they were swapping the hood due to paint fade. Fast forward to today when I have posted pictures and had it brought to my attention that the hood that was swapped on is from a 1990 740, which was the...
Reviving a dead thread here, but has anybody made any further progress on the conversion? Have been looking into possibly swapping front suspension for the ease of coilovers and a different bolt pattern as we have seen the steady decline of rwd offset 5x108 wheels. Figured as long as you run a...
