The manual rack that VP has is for early cars with a 14mm input shaft. To use it you will need the connecting shaft between the column and rack from a '75-'78 240 with manual steering. There are 2 different versions of this shaft and either one should work.

You might try loosening the nut and tightening the fitting first. Just don't overdo it. You don't want to crack or strip the oil cooler adapter.
Also, are you sure it isn't leaking from the o-ring between the adapter and extension arm and dripping down onto that fitting?
It's the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system. It burns crankcase vapors so they don't escape to the atmosphere. Not having it connected won't hurt the engine, just pollutes the air.
I think it's 11/32" hose. Use PCV hose. Vacuum hose isn't oil resistant.

Topi was a Finnish rally racer/mechanic/shop owner in the San Fernando Valley here in California who has since retired and moved back to Finland. This pic was taken at his shop when he hosted a swap meet.
He used to make these rocker stands that used modified Buick roller rockers.

I've never replaced one of those bushings so I'm not sure. Does the hex fit closely on the shaft? I believe it's just there to support the rack in the housing. The SuperPro bushing just has 3 nubs on the inside.
