    3D Printed Parts Thread

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7003905 Made a model of the dog grate retainer clip based on the broken one I have. I may test it out, but I'd love it if *someone else* tested it for me.

    Seat mod for slim subwoofer?

I was considering replacing it with flatbar or similar. Initially I was considering raising it, but I mocked it up and it was obvious to the butt. I'll probably chop it for the science, and weld in the bar if it presents a problem.

    Seat mod for slim subwoofer?

I just picked up a slim sub (VVX QBUS10P) and found that it's *just* too big to fit under the passenger seat in my 240. Has anyone removed this crossbar on their seat to accommodate a sub or amp? I have a stripped frame in my garage and it looks like it'd probably be fine to chop it, there's...

    3D Printed Parts Thread

I actually thought it was flat till I started working on this. The backing plate is symmetric, with the angle you can see along the top edge on the bottom as well.

Working on an improved 5.25" speaker adapter/grille. Might need someone with manual windows to test.

Deep puddle - rough idle then died ('92 240)

I'll give it a shot. Currently in the parking lot of my favorite coffee shop, with an advance auto next door.

Deep puddle - rough idle then died ('92 240)

Hey all, I'm in the southeast where we're currently getting very heavy rain. I hit a puddle deeper than I expected, then almost immediately pulled over into a parking lot at my destination. I sat in the parking lot idling for a while, feathering the throttle because the idle was EXTREMELY...

Send a pic of what you want. 3d printing may not be the best solution, so maybe we can come up with a better one.

    PCV serviced, increased NVH?

Maybe a bit, the old ones hadn't turned to mush yet. I don't believe they're the issue because I changed them *after* the pcv because of the vibrations.

    PCV serviced, increased NVH?

No, but I inspected it and it's pretty fresh.

    PCV serviced, increased NVH?

Hi all, I recently replaced my oil separator box, the oil return hose, and cleaned the flame trap & hoses. Of course this required dropping the oil pan and slightly raising the engine. Ever since, I've been getting more vibration/harshness through the shift lever around 3k rpm. Source is almost...

    Easy 240 oil pan removal

Yeah I read the cleanflametrap writeup, and it has the additional work of moving the crossmember & steering rack, and doesn't remove the right-sided motor mount.

I recently got a dog grate from the jy with the (broken) clips, seems like they'd be easy enough to reverse engineer. Is there still a need for this?

    Easy 240 oil pan removal

Hey all, I recently serviced my PCV system, which required replacement of the tube that goes from the oil separator into the sump. As many of you may know, this necessitated the removal of the oil pan. I did some research and didn't find a good solution for removing the pan without dropping the...

    ['92 240] AC drain orifice?

Wow, I guess I'll pop the Dräneringsrör back in place. It probably stops bugs and such from getting into the condensation pan, but it looks like more of a problem than anything.

    Help identifying dog grate

Cool, thanks for the info. It wasn't original to the car I pulled it from, thankfully the netting can conform to the headrests. I'm gonna clean it up and list it for sale in a bit.

    Help identifying dog grate

I picked up a dog grate that looks like this one last week. It's got all the hardware, and has the rope net rather than the metal grate. Can someone tell me what year range this one was available?

    ['92 240] AC drain orifice?

Is this little white piece of hard plastic supposed to be in the drain tube? This thing was super backed up and sloshing water everywhere. Thanks!
