Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform! You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Thread size is 5, so I used assembly torque of 14-16 ft lbs with a hand wrench (maybe 19mm or 3/4"). Nut was rotated until nut/washer touched against O-ring, then screwed into transmission until seated; where seated, I believe I had to back it off a pinch so oil cooler line would mate to JIC...
A function of voltage, and higher voltages shorten a bulb's lifespan. OEM sealed beams would have been tungsten in earlier years, and in later years came halogens. With OEM installed halogen lights, they would have installed a resistance in the wire going to headlamps.
OEM's tungsten...
Homemade....passed first jackup... Remove hairpin from the harden pin, slide out harden pin, then slide off U-Channel, and slide U-Channel into one of Volvo's underneath slots.
Then with this 2.5 ton scissor jack insert that 1/2 moon cut-out on top of scissor-jack's rivet. 1/2 moon cut-out...
Once ECM goes into Closed Loop, this issue is gone. Closed Loop engages the O2 sensor, and when it "sees" a rich mixture, it cuts back on fuel. ECMs in Open Loop, may use a default fuel map...in my case, I installed injectors that put out about 19% more fuel
In your situation, what injectors...
Installed ones are Gen3 Bosch...they work just fine....after 20-30 second startup "blues."
IIRC, stock ones for NA B230F were 16 lb, and these are 19 lb

My 1993-240 NA does this all the time...once the ECU is in Closed Loop, the issue is gone.
Reason why is due to oversized injectors....which work very well for cold starts.
So, I rev up the engine a pinch after starting, and drive on once ECU is in closed loop.
I'm running OEM (stock) fuel pumps
Maybe already mentioned, but these pics are not seen here
Maybe a Photobucket issue...via manually using URL, they still are on Photobucket
Also, here appears to be pics not coming up from previous T-Brick forumn software.
thx
Thanks, but I'm looking for another setup. Carrying a floor jack works fine via using Volvo's old style jack by inserting this jack's "leg" into the vehicle's slot, then raising floor jack so its top-plate covers the Volvo jack's leg.
Online, there are heavier duty jacks available, but no...
But, more cushion for the roadway pushin, hey:-) Better motor mounts can reduce noise...some 20 dB or so. Here's overkill: Automotive Vibration Control Technology
One could drop by a local parts store, and examine the angles...FWIW.
Be nice to know the tech specs for expected load/stress at a given mount angle relative to engine/frame. In your pic, the plate mounted to 244's frame appears to have a long "lever" going to the engine, which increases the forces on the plate. I'd have to look at a 244, but if that plate could...
With a decent battery, a 240 can keep on going for some 30 miles without HVAC fan on, alternator not working, and lights on. On a humid evening with engine running, use a spray bottle filled with H20 and spray around.
