Dropping in the block mounted Yoshi CAS

There are no marks, what position is the slot supposed to be in, with engine @ TDC? And once this is correct, how do you confirm the CAS itself is not 180? out, it seems sealed? My guess is it don't matter. I have no interest in actually learning anything about how this works yet, I am simply...

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but thankfully my PRV memory banks have been mostly eradicated. Thanks

    Vintage 1966 122s non-overdrive trans question

When the bronze shift handle bushing in the trans wears, to the point of the shift handle being quite sloppy, does the transmission have any other ill effects? Such as jumping out of gear, or any other drivability issues, other than the obvious annoyance of mop & bucket shift "pattern"? Thanks!

Vintage What is it that makes the '73 ES dash a different P/N than '72?

Just curious.. Is it the shape, the grain, both, neither? I'm mostly inquiring about the upper portion. Thanks!

Vintage '73 ES accessory inboard armrest? Was there ever?

Been daily-ing the ES after 10+ years of ownership @ 100 miles per year. These past weeks/months I've blown about 6 tanks through her, and am actually starting to appreciate and enjoy the thing. Does desperately need a (seat back mounted?) center armrest though! The shifter is a bit too...

240 Recessed Cowl Coffin Hood Front with '81+ (euro spec) H/Lamps and Late Fenders?

What did Volvo use to cobble this setup? Is it as simple as "our" (us spec) '86-'93 core support, fenders, '83-'85 bumper, '81-'93 E-codes, and regular recessed cowl hood and grill? Or is it a special unique-to-this-arrangement core support and grill? Thanks

    Vintage 1970 b20 (144s) Stromberg's to single Webber Manifold??

Hi, Bought the Webber conversion kit from IPD. It comes with a new intake manifold, but to my surprise  the Stromburger mani is one giant chunk-o-chit with the exhaust manifold. So, I ASSume I will need to find an exhaust manifold from a different stock setup, but which one? Earlier, or...

Vintage What to replace shot visco fan clutch with on '69 144s?

BESIDES E-Fan. It has lost all of it's love juice. Flex fan? What have others done? This is the shroud-less yellow plastic fan/thermo-visco-clutch setup. I'd love to find a NOS or regular new replacement clutch.

S/V/C Another set of eyes on this wiring diagram please.

Relay 2/80 (R2) which is integrated into the CEM (4/56) is not activating. From what I gather GSM (Gear Selector Module) 3/156 sends a LIN signal to TCM (4/28) TCM tells the CEM that the GSM is in reverse gear, CEM commands 2/80 "on" and reverse lights light. Now my dilemma is how to confirm...

S/V/C What is the purpose of the magnet in the shifter "blind" on P1 chassis cars?

What is the purpose of the magnet in the shifter "blind" on P1 chassis cars? There is a small magnet attached to the "blind" (the thing that hides the shifter slot and moves with the handle). Basically I'm wondering if it could be for reverse light function? P1= '04.5 S40, V50, '05+ C70, C30.

240 Finally wired up 2 speed LH2.4 driven E-fan NO WORKIE!?

So, 2 speed 850 cooling fan LH 2.4 (939 Fuel Computer) Wife's 244 b230ft. Everything is wired up correctly, I can ground pins 10 or 11 on fuel computer (the pins I just added to the connector for the fan relay) and the fan whirls over perfectly, both speeds. The issue is that, the ECU is not...

240 Car covers for outside storage, what flavor is all y'all using?

I have a single layer Wolf, non custom fit cover that kinda fits my 262c. But he'll have to be outside this winter, (rain, snow, pine needles, little-to-no sunlight) and I need something nicer. I am pondering a fleaBay $120.00, five layer "custom fit" one. Any first hand suggestions...

    RSI T5 adapter kit

I bought this: http://yhst-26451710505916.stores.yahoo.net/b2t5trad.html And the nose tube (where the T/O bearing rides) it comes with, has an ID which is smaller than the OD of the sealing surface of the B.W. T5. Hence the mainshaft bearing retainer is not allowed to make contact with the case...
