https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ftsa&q=translate+english+to+chinese&ia=web 我不认为这非常困难...... But seriously, I'm not sure I would. After I politely asked him/her/it to be nice, not one single new post appeared, and then 1/2 hr later the posts disappeared which is obviously the result of a...

    The new Daily D [aka 95 945Ti]

How awesome to discover a build thread a decade later! I hope you're going to add to it, as required... I noticed this... Just as a point of reference, because I've experienced it on 3 different vehicles: No smog guru ever checked for the EO# until the state computer asked him...

    242 GT potential project

So... you have a soft spot for 240s... this thing is attractive enough (either price or condition or personal connection or something else you haven't specified) that you don't want to pass up an opportunity... but you'll be satisfied if you invest hundreds (or thousands) $ in K-Jet...

    242 GT potential project

OP, what are your goals? The thrill of the chase, restoration, and "catch and release"? Or the "keeper" status of an insanely low mileage 9/10 condition car that might become amazing with appropriate TLC? If you kept it, do you prefer a museum piece or a daily driver? Most importantly, do...

New phone, who dis? (alternatively, 5 cylinder turbo awd content)

To admire that paint job, wouldn't it be worth remodeling the house? Install a set of doors wide enough to be able to drive it into the living room or kitchen... wherever you spend the most time.

New phone, who dis? (alternatively, 5 cylinder turbo awd content)

Agreed. Their "red" numbers are barely outside their published +/-0.05 target data. Given their treatment of you so far, I'm actually a little surprised that they didn't do whatever $$$$$ was required to correct the front caster, at your expense. Malcolm Gladwell described a fabulous response...

    Late night spam bots

Interesting idea. A quick web search reveals that 707091118 is being spammed in forums all over the place. It does not seem to be a Volvo part number, so it ought to be fair game to block. But how do you block it in a way that doesn't alert the spammer? It's a classic cat-n-mouse game -- you...

    Late night spam bots

I've always been curious what they actually post, but by the time I see it, there's nothing left. Everything is cleaned up, floor mopped, dishes put away. (Thank you, moderators.) But in case anyone else is likewise curious... Tonight's spray of crap has nothing to do with an ability to...

    240 Power Mirrors Retrofit

In the older 240s, joysticks are below and to either side of the emergency brake handle, pointing toward the front of the car. About 1/2" above the carpet.

I keep flushing and flushing but the crap won't go away.

Assuming this is the same general design as a 240... Don't know if you're gonna have much choice in this... they redesigned the cute Y-pipe connection of the OEM, presumably to save money. Now, a single inlet and outlet allow flow from L-R (or vice versa.) Whereas OEM was a flow from center...

New phone, who dis? (alternatively, 5 cylinder turbo awd content)

Do they really think that just because someone can afford an expensive and/or luxury car, that he/she won't bat an eye at an expensive and/or luxury alignment? Sheesh. GLWA. (Argument)

    1981 244 GL High MPG - daughter's first car

I wondered the same thing, but perhaps it's just envy. My first car was a pile. On the other hand, not every first car becomes a valuable learning experience at its own expense. Some are cherished... I knew the value of my own sweat equity, and would never have done anything risky. You're...

I keep flushing and flushing but the crap won't go away.

Depends on whether you want the loosened crud to continue to circulate... :e-shrug: Same story with dumping down the storm drain. Nontoxic cleaners are attractive but whatever crud they carry with them isn't what I'd like to feed the bottom of our precious food chain. If it's truly just...

https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/thermocure/evapo-rust-thermocure-cooling-system-rust-remover/eva1/tc001 This Evapo-Rust stuff has gotten out more crud than any other product I've ever used. And non-toxic, to boot.

    Corsa (Velocita) steelies

Thanks, that helps. I'd be curious to know more about truing them up being so easy. Given that a weld bead shrinks when it cools... and that it's a common technique to tweak something by a few thousandths if you need to align your fabrication... I could see my own skills ending up chasing a...

    Corsa (Velocita) steelies

Any idea of the weight on those? The only resource I could find online is this, which lists specs and sometimes weights, but isn't terribly useful unless you know the Greek God wheel names: https://www.ipdusa.com/Articles/630/Volvo-OEM-Wheel-Cross-Reference

    240 Power steering rebuild

Wow, taking photos really slows down a repair. Thank you for taking the time to document. I'd bet a lot more of us are going to become interested in learning the rebuild tricks.... given the status of racks, as you mention. As far as using the forum, you could continue to add posts to this...

    California BAR swap

You undoubtedly already know that a 1983 drivetrain into a 1980 vehicle shouldn't raise any eyebrows, as long as everything related to emissions matches the configuration of the newer one. Not just exhaust system but the computer, the fuel lines/vents and charcoal canister and on and on. When...

Advice requested for Volvo 240 Ford 289 302 swap with c4 transmission

I used to have exactly the same fears, until I bought one and forced myself to learn how it operates. A learning curve, yes... but so was a carburetor. That was 34 years ago. You'll have to replace capacitors every few decades... it's just a different type of maintenance.
