05 s60r stock clutch pressure plate adjustment..?

Hello all. I'm gearing up to replace my clutch on my R. I have read about the pre adjustment tool for the pressure plate. I ordered a Sachs kit in hopes it would come pre adjusted. I've heard some come pre set so the compression tool would not be needed. It doesn't really look like the little green springs are compressed that much on the pressure plate. Does anyone know how I can find out if this pressure plate is already adjusted?

I think I may have installed one of these "self-adjusting" things at the shop, but over time all the cars become one big blur, so I don't remember much about it.

Are your springs not as compressed as the ones in this horribly large pic, blatantly stolen from Rockauto?

Hey thanks for the reply. Yea the springs on my new pressure plate are NOT as compressed as the one in the picture.. So I'm guessing I'll need the compression tool to pre adjust it..?
