I don?t think the price is any higher than 8v mani. + the prices may vary, depending on who is asking... :badboy:

I don;t know if this belongs in the performance section or showroom but I guess it will interest the performance guys rather more than the showroom.

These are the same guys that supplied doug's manifold (through oskari) so I would presume that they good quality as we haven'y heard any ill effects.

Im just curious, why did you use a vo in the ford? not a ford? do you not like the ford 2.3l turbo engine? are any of the parts at all interchangeable?

UK didn't get the 2.3 4cyl sohc engine and we certainly never got it turbo'd, otherwise I would probably be using one, we had a n/a 2L equivelant that remained almost identical from '72 when it was introduced until '92 when it was retired.

I could have gone cossie or zetec as a drop in fit and it would have been a lot easier and dare I say it actually finished and completed, but I wanted to do things a little differently and as far as I'm aware I don't know of any volvo powered Mk1 Escort's(I know of a Mk2).

Also in a trully Tbricks fashion I'm a cheap ass! I'm not going to pick up a cossie engine for ?50 if it goes pop, so this seemed to be one of the best solutions.
