One of the downstream effects of the initial firing of the parts cannon at this problem is that I also have a box containing all the parts of the cruise control system (ECU, vacuum pump, vacuum acuator/servo, and control stalk) for the 90+ 240, all like new. If anyone wants these, send me a PM.

Just because I have done a few of the 90-93 kits ensure that you also have the wiring harness from control unit to main wiring and release switches, tubing for vacuum from pump to actuator and to the vacuum release pedal valves/switches and the brake release switch for auto or brake release and clutch release for manual transmissions. There are also some mounting screws for the firewall mounted pump and the bracket installed control unit that goes behind the speed cluster on the steering column. You need all of the parts otherwise you will have MOST of the important parts and they will not be complete enough to make the pre-wired system work. Wiring, plumbing, release switches and mounting hardware are needed.

I have .pdf of the Green Book for 90+ Cruise Controls and several replacement parts if anyone is in need. I'm just seeing this due to being off the site for a while. Always good to hear that the problem is solved.
My 1990 cruise control has quit on me, and I haven't swapped for LEDs, the pdf sounds useful. Could you send it to me?

This has been a very useful thread for understanding cruise control. Thank you all!
