When I purchased my 93 945 the previous owner had replaced the electric fan with a mechanical fan. Worked fine, but since i prefer the electric, I re-installed the electric fan. all the wiring and the relay were there.
The fan would never start, so i wired it to turn on with the radiators temperature switch, leaving all the original wiring connected. Worked fine.
Last week I had to replace the head gasket and now the fan turns on as soon as I start the engine. If I turn the engine off, the fan remains on indefinitely until I turn the ignition switch to "start", then I can remove the key and the fan stays off.
Any ideas?
Thanks
