240 Wastegate vacuum source?

240 Wastegate boost source?

Where do 240T's draw their boost source for the wastegate actuator?

I picked up a manifold/T3 from an '84 240, and need to adapt it for my '87 760Ti. Is it as simple as drilling and tapping a hole on the compressor outlet and threading in a fitting for the boost control line?

If it's not clear, I'll try to get pics tomorrow.

(For those wondering why I'm doing this, the turbine shaft broke on my old turbo)

[edit: I confused the inlet/outlet. That's why the title is "vacuum" and not "boost"]

I forgot. There's a bolt on that turbo. Take it out and use that as your source. I plugged it because I referenced from a different spot.

Haha, yea on my car the reference is off the cold side IC pipe, so I plugged that hole so I didn't have a huge boost leak.

Makes sense. I think I still might drill up closer to the outlet.

Why the cold side?

After the IC and before the TB is the best spot. Gives you the most accurate boost level.
