3D Printed Parts Thread

The 3d printed tail light fix plate has been added to the mega in the 'Exterior' Folder.

I've recently started experimenting with 3D printing, and it's incredible how versatile it is! Just finished a custom phone stand and a mini replica of my favorite car. What projects have you all been working on? Any tips for a newbie?

Hey y'all,

I noticed that there aren't a lot of good ways to find all of the Volvo files that have been shared. I have 4TB free on my Mega account and have taken the liberty of downloading all available files in this thread, and threads connected to this thread. Link is below. If anyone has any other files they'd like me to add, just PM me or quote me here.

Yoink. That is going into my bookmarks.

My son has access to a fancy 3d scanner for the next three weeks. I sent my center console to him and hopefully he can sneak it into said fancy scanner. I asked him to scan the whole thing, and the snap-in rectangular cubby separately. We'll see if he's successful....

Is anybody willing to 3d print some speaker brackets for me? I don't have a 3d printer. I'd like 2 pairs of the 4 inch mounting brackets, and 2 pairs of the 5.25 inch. Would prefer it to be local, but I'm also willing to pay shipping. PM me if you're interested, and give me a price.

IF nobody in the area is able to, I can. It'd be ~12 bucks shipping from Wisconsin. Materials cost would be like 2 bucks if that.

I drew up some wheel spacers to be printed to check back spacing etc. 19mm thick spacer or adapter with shims that can be stacked to determine the correct thickness of spacer to order. I have a couple changes to make then I'll post up the link. Right now I have a 5x108 spacer plus adapters to 5x114.3 and 5x120. I can quickly change the measurements if someone needs another lug pattern. Center bore is set at 66mm. bolts came from Belmetric and are M12x1.5 60mm long. 19 mm head.

Not a volvo part, but I’ve always heard about how tough TPU is. I never really believed it could be this tough.

Cringe video host, but the content is pretty cool.

Requesting a part to be modeled. Speaker/speaker grill mount for the 5.25in speakers/grills that came on the rear doors of 1993 240 wagons so I (not quite yet, but I might pick some up if someone makes these mounts), and others can mount aftermarket speakers with the OEM grills for that factory look. If someone is really up for a challenge, it would be cool to find a way to mount aftermarket tweeters with the OEM tweeter covers that came on the 93' wagons. Thanks in advance!

So I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not, but is there any reason someone couldn't print an eggcrate grill? Just the middle insert, not including the grill frame. I'd imagine a lot of people would buy one

It would have to be printed in multiple pieces, and printed with a high strength, high heat filament, so it would still be pretty pricey.

My son is working on making a set of headlight spacers for the 78-79 GT front end with single round lights. While they most likely won't feature the clips and more intricate details they should be better than the ancient ones that always seem to crumble.
