Hey,
I've been looking for front windshield glass for late 760 and all 960, coming up dry. My local glass places all say not available, Volvo says indefinite backorder.
Has anyone had any luck getting their windshield replaced recently and do you know the brand, part number of the glass used?

I just picked up two in Calgary before winter.
Unfortunately installed now.
Volvo Classic will make an order with Pilkington at some point if you order (my guess)

Do you know if your local glass places are using the same glass distributor?

At least in my area, there are 3 or 4 glass distribution companies and some have more/different products than others.

Why not go get one at u-pullit? Take your buddie with you and a piano or guitar wire and two little broom stick handles and use that to cut out the glass from inside and out with your buddie. Then go buy the 50 dollar windshield goop or roll and do it in a heated shop or outside in the summer. Easy biz with a bro.. How I roll with Volvo branded glass...

Sounds like a lot of work to put a pitted 30 y/o windshield in something, it the donor car even still has the OEM glass

I'm in Canada as well and had the same problem, nothing available in this country for the long-hood cars from Volvo or aftermarket. I posted on the 960 Facebook forum and had two responses: one was a recent installation in England for 130 Pounds, and one was from the USA reporting a recent installation at a Safelite dealer, no supply problems in either case. As the car in need is not on the road at the moment, I ordered two from an independent glass man in Shelby Montana and drove down to get them (as well as lots of other goodies delivered to the border.) Just over 200 US dollars cash and carry, big box included (2 boxes barely fit in an XC90.) So this is a Canada-only supply problem.

It's been 6 years since I saw a 960 or facelift 760 in a wrecking yard.
