765 88 rear suspension

If it's a 765 (wagon) then it already has a solid axle. You'll just need normal wagon springs and shocks to replace the Nivomat setup.

Are you even sure the 765 has IRS? Iirc in the older models only the sedans had IRS. All of the wagons were solid axle with the option of nivomats.

I have an 88 765 and it is live axle. The nivomats were shot, but installed the ipd kit in three hours.

It remains the single best update to my car.

The old spring comes right out and the new one goes in with no compressor tool needed. Just put the jack where I have mine in the photo to help align the hole for the shock.
