760 84 760 Turbo vacuum stuff

Shouldn't an 84 760 Turbo have a vacuum reservoir on the car side of the check valve that serves the climate control?

It also appears someone has removed the (vacuum controlled) hot water valve, why would they do that?

Look at the front of the cross member. There should be a plastic vacuum reservoir clamped to it.

The heater valve probably exploded and the easy fix was just to eliminate it.

Or the core support?

Under the crank pulley. That's where it is on the '84 760T that's at my shop right now.

And yes, there's a vacuum pump.
