93 240 disable shift interlock

I looked at several threads talking about shift interlocks on 93 240 automatics, but none that actually showed how to disable it for good. I have the rug & shift cover off right now & would like to deal with it. seems like the solenoid is working intermittently & just want it out if possible.

This is true. What a nightmare it will be to replace the ignition lock when the pnp's dry up.

Can't help you disable the thing, but the release button is pretty simple and easy compared to the 91/92.

Out here, there are no PNPs, and no Volvos in salvage yards...you just "wing it."
