I talked with FCP a few months ago and the rep told me that they were having a casting shop make these.

Maybe it's time to call them back and see how they are coming along.

There was a guy on the turbobricks FB page that was parting a C70 with 302mm brakes. I told the guy to pull them as someone would be interested.

This brake conversion doesnt look like performace but anchors pretty hard.. I once hit the ABS triggering while emergencybraking down from 150 at around 120

This was a great post!

I went the other direction with my brake upgrade, and instead brought my curb weight from 3,300 to 2,675. Brakes work better now. lol.

Good point! weight reduction also improves acceleration, roadholding and mileage. With the improved brake performance that makes 4x win.

302mm Caliper Carriers for 27,50?

About three weeks ago they had 50 in stock, now they only have 20. Better be quick!!! I bought a pair of them myself and they are the higher quality plated version, bling!

Well I was ready to pull the trigger on a pair of these, as my 92 940 has given me some "braking excitement" from time to time.......then I found out Skandix wants another 50 Euro for shipping to the States! I'll just have to contact my Engineering buddy in Hannover and see if he can buy them for me. Damn air freight costs from Europa!

Looks like a nice upgrade to put 302 rotors and binders up front..... and now I need to find a 95 at P-n-P down here for the servo (booster to us heathens), pedal ass'y, and wiring harness. When I go in for the M90 conversion, might as well strengthen the braking concurrently.

Shipping via US Post in "Flat Rate Priority" boxes is quite reasonable.. A set of pistons and rods ships for around $75 with insurance...

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more shipping this direction..

All y'all live better and are all paid much higher wages than typical here.

back to the 9 series binder upgrade discussion......

OK, back on topic. Bought the SKANDIX conversion mounts. Sent a PM to the OP to see if he can confirm 100% the calipers must change (pretty sure, just misdirected a bit by one of his comments).

Other than the OP, who has made this conversion? I've got a couple 95 vintage 940s in the local PnP, planning to make a run to scavenge the parts list.

Sure would like to hear from other 95+ 9 series owners.....to confirm the claimed improvement between the earlier cars and the 95+ model....via the servo (booster). OP claims about a 30% increase in ratio of the booster, resulting in a lighter feel for the same leg force applied to the binders.

Toby, you inquired about this upgrade.....did you do it? Results as expected/claimed?

My friend over in Hannover has my Skandix.de caliper mounts.... and I just received my 302mm Zimmermann "sport rotors" from eEuroparts. Heading to the local PnP to source the 95 specific BOSCH booster (servo) and pedal assembly this Sunday.

Curious if Toby (Magnum) ever completed this conversion..... shot a PM to the OP of this yesteryear thread.... apparently he's off the grid now.

Any other 95+ 9 series users, to confirm the improvement? I know it's only 22mm more disc rotor, but the BOSCH servo is reported to increase the caliper pressure as well (for the same amount of a$$ on the pedal).

I dont get the troubles about the booster.. I have a 16v brakebooster which is "smaller" thean the 8v and i can block the wheela at 100kmh really easy...

If you want to faster slower you need to push it harder ;)

I am still waiting to source the caliper brackets.
