That's nice to be here and have my first turbobrick. My name is Arek from Poland.
I have already C70 I Convertible 4T5 swapped with 400hp and M56 gearbox with quaife torsen diff.

C70 is ready so there is need for a new project. :)

The car has central locking, OBD port, ECC, cruise control, heated leather seats, LSD and overall very good shape, only 138k kilometers.

Bought 1 day before Christmas, will to make even smallest parts working, not many modifications in sight, for now planning only everything from do88, cat-back 2.5', Stage 2 from BSR with 1.0bar Wastegate, in the future for sure angled TD04HL-19T, injectors, 3' Downpipe and 200cpsi cat.

Ferrita cat-back exhaust already in the trunk :) but first the car has to be technically in perfect condition, it will take for sure several months.

Ferrita Exhaust already sit, it was a pleasure to mount it, everything suits exactly like original. On the C70 have Simon's stainless steel exhaust with one muffler and it wasn't P&P...

Not too sporty?

On the way is EZK chip with goldbox from jpstyling.com
Now thinking about chip for LH2.4.
M90 has new gerbox oil and air box mod already done. Hope it will run well, for now not even drove the car after I bought it.

Hey! Nice car! Greetings!
Thank you, it's a long way to make it perfect. Every, even smallest part is on the way, every cap etc which was missing, already on the way to me. Several screws that were rusty are out. 😊

Under the hood for now it looks a bit better, several cables attached, new Samco silicon underpressure hoses, new (used) left mirror, etc

Wow! That will be awesome!

I am rebuilding my 242 now, while i have a chance, and it all makes a load of effort and new things to learn for me haha.

But i love it!

Coming along!

Are you replacing the latches, intercooler brackets and the center stay bolt with new parts, or are you going to remove & de-rust the existing ones?

I ordered already new cooler brackets and want to buy new top cover, because on the right side it is impossible to screw out the screw which holds the bracket. On the other side as you see, someone has already drill another holes, because original screw is broken.

Air box lashes repaired.

One rear spring is broken.
New original mud flaps for front and rear and HD rear springs (Lesjöfors, because Made in Sweden😎) already arrived - it has to be a sleeper, so 16' wheels and suspension as high as possible is the only way 😂 with about 300hp it will be a perfect match. Brakes will be updated only with EBC Yellowstuff pads and stainless steel brake hoses.

Differential (1041) has too much play, don't know what to do with it, have already read about crusher sleeve, which should be the problem??

New gearbox mount, maybe not full restoration but enough for the next 5 years, two layers of Brunox Epoxy, one layer of lacquer, when on the car one layer wax tomorrow. :-)

I found, that on my B230FT4 is a 4mm hose between inlet manifold and Y-pipe from crankcase ventilation, there should be check valve. On every turbocharged engine!
As I see diagrams in VIDA, it is like this from factory - without check valve.
So.. I ordered new one.
If someone want to repair his car, Pierburg 7.20469.03.0 is the right one. Faster spool up of turbo and turbocharger will not pump air into the crankcase.

Today some small parts arrived, so in the afternoon..

I am going to change most rusty screws and nuts with exactly the same stainless steel ones or original Volvo (BUFO).

This is the one I use, common on most 7/9 series . Not going to have any effect on spool, but will prevent positive pressure from intake pushing into breather box, although the vacuum draw that is always present on the larger 14mm hose at the breather will likely counter whatever pressure could conceivably enter the breather system. I still added it anyway :)

Of course, there will be no overpressure, but the turbocharger, thanks to this valve, does not pump air over and over again. It doesn't make sense what they did there. The engineers had to really try to squeeze so little power out of such an engine. 😂

Where is your fuel pressure regulator?

Fuel pressure gauge looks really nice. 👍

Yesterday I mounted new Lesjöfors HD rear springs and treated the rear bumper with hot air.

.. and then came my friend with his 97' manual 850 2.3 T5 to mount new exhaust, radio head unit and repair the control of air vents in the dashboard. We are restoring his car too. 😏

We finished at four in the morning. 🥴

Looking good. The bumpers all look better after refreshing them with a heat gun.

What's going on with the headlamps?

My FPR is from P80 - I moved it to the firewall & removed the return off the rail, adding the adjustable (EuroSpecSport) pod used mostly for VAG models.

Headlamp brackets are bit rusty, screws too. So bought 150 new stainless steel screws with flange heads in different sizes. I will sandblast these brackets and paint them.

Next episode is to collect more $ to buy new clutch (thrust bearing make noises) and slave cylinder, alternator (make them too), prop shaft support bearing and rubber coupling (hard like a stone), new radio head unit, boost pressure gauge, AFR and maybe voltmeter.

Good to know about FPR, I will make something like yours. Thank you for info😉 there is no OBD2 so I want to have a possibility to check if everything is working.

Today my mother's manual 02' C70 2.0T (I know, whiteblock 🙄) with BSR 226hp tune (birthday present from son 😎) and turbocharger from B5244T7 2.4T - because exhaust side is bigger - less backpressure lowers the cylinder head temperature - (TD04HL-13T vs original TD04L-12T) is becoming new Bilstein B4 struts and Lesjöfors springs. :) with 263kkm mileage, whole suspension was garbage.

Thinking about Propus C (7.5x17 offset 43) for 940 too.. would it fit?

Needs approx 32mm hub centric spacers to get the clearance needed. I just bought a set of four (sold for Ford application) and had the inner bores turned to fit the 740 hub lip. Not Volvo wheels in my case, so I don't remember what bore the old (P80) C70 wheels had anymore...

P80 (S70, 850, V70 I, C70 I) has 65.1mm center hub bore, bolt circle 5x108 like 940. Will have 7.5'x18' Triton from C70 I T5 in the near future and try to mount them, they have offset 43mm.

V2A screws are here 😍
