As title says, I've seen a bit oil residue on my PCV breather hose and inside of throttle body.
PCV replaced every 2 years (box, filter, hoses), current one is 1 year old. Compression is 195 +-5 on all 4. Never rev over 4k rpm. Head gasket is like 4 years old, no leaks around the 530 cam. Coolant system completely replaced and the temp never go over the middle, usually slightly bellow. So what could be the case?

I think a little residue is normal. There will always be oil vapors in crankcase that eventually coat the intake. But if it worries you, what brand and grade of oil are you using? May be it's too thin and finds its way up the PCV hose?

I'd go 10W40 and added a catch can. They are legal in CA as long as you use approved oil/emission hose- not the clear crappy one that the cans usually come with.
