ok ok i got my 760 1989 i bought an power stage and i got it running it went and blew out 15 fuses at once i went and replaced all the fuses then the one for the fuel pump kept blowing out so i took the fuse box out and some dummie had it wired all wrong so i cleaned it

i got it started and it kept idleing really rough so i was looking around and the alternator belt was totally messed up so i cut it outit was idling for a good hour but still rough just it was going from 1k rpms to 4k rpms and if i let off the gas it would stal out really quickly

i was thinking it wasnt getting enough gas and then i noticed the fuel injectors were leaking really badly so i replaced the O rings no help :(

i put it in reverse to go drive it and when i put it in reverse it cut off every time??wtf?
does this car take a 12 volt coil?is this one good?
is this good oil? http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/fdfdfdfdf6.jpg

whats this go to? http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/PICT0027.jpg it was laying under the engine loose does it from here..... http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/PICT0021.jpg
to here?http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/PICT0022.jpg

thanks in advance for any help at all im at a total loss where to even begin

uhh

That oil is good but it might make your car leak like hell (ymmv). I would use a Mann filter, it is the factory filter, and has a check valve in it. Get them from groton or ipd. My 85 740 takes a coil like that so i would guess yours does too. Mine is on the passenger's side fender back by the firewall. That piece that you are showing looks like the PCV assembly and if i recall, it connects over to here http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/PICT0022.jpg The source will be down under the intake manifold, it will be a little black box. Does that help?

would it affect the car enough to make it not start?

I suppose a bad coil could do that. Does it have spark? The pcv should be attached because you have a hole in your intercooler piping after the filter but that shouldn't cause your car not to start. Are you getting fuel? Voltage to the fuel pump?

im not sure if im getting spark how would i check it with out killing my self?

i am getting fuel i pulled the injectors out and there spraying right

also what is this http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/PICT0020.jpg it has a hole in the bottom (yes the thing with the zip ties) it has a inch rip in the bottom and air comes out when i try to start it

That's your intercooler piping, that is how the air gets into your engine. My guess is that you have a dirty throttle body. Get the gasket for it, pull it off and clean it. Check your plugs, check your wires, check for vacuum leaks. All of those could cause the car to not start and/or idle rough.

is this the gasket http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/fdfdfdfdf8.jpg
that goes from the throttle body to the turbo? where would i get new piping? how would i check the vacuum leaks?

can you make me a list of things to do?

Here's a semi list
  • Check your plugs, probably change them
  • check your wires
  • Check your air filter
  • Clean your throttle body
  • Check for vacuum leaks (use a spray bottle and some soapy water, spray the vacuum lines with the engine running)
  • Check your air filter
  • Stage 0 (search it, most everything i just listed)

[its at autozone]Check your air filter
[that will have to wait for my next day off work]Clean your throttle body

thanks a lot ill do the rest of that either tomorow or the next day
is the throttle body way down there where the turbo connects? http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb155/davidbondpokemon/help.jpg

Oh something else i just noticed, it looks like your air filter box on (the one on the left of that pic that says turbo) is not clipped down. There should be some metal clips on it. Clip it down good to help keep the crap out of your engine.
