Any other information on the Unitek 531 head that floated around here?

A few years ago I picked up the 531 from a member here. Wisturbo

It was called a stage II or Uniflo II I think. Turbo specific.
stock 44mm intake, and a larger 37mm exhaust.
It has a fair amount of port and chamber smoothing and mild enlarging.
All exhaust studs have been removed, and the holes were re-machined for larger studs.
Lots of good basic machine work and all new parts.
Uniflo II cam. Its a regrind, and I'm not sure who did it. Likely Enem, and I don't really know the specs. You can see the scribed model # on the back of it.
It comes with the IPD adjustable gear you see here too.
It's been to Borchardt speed shop in Milwaukee WI for hot tanking & 3 angle valve job as well as decked for a cometic head gasket.

I was wondering who had this head prior or ? I know it floated from a few people.

Just looking to see where it was

I am getting ready to jump back in to a few things in the spring now that a few other major events have slowed down some.

What are the odds, i was just talking to Mike Lough aboutunitek and Mike Aaro. Ill pick his brain about this head.

Just don't buy anything from the guy (Aaro)...

I might have the old catalog around here with the modifications listed for the various head stages.

Ah my bad - you were just looking for owner history not specs.

Good to see you Dan.

That would be neat to see.

I've got the catalog but it's all in Swedish - but I have a bunch of other stuff from Mike from correspondence about the head that wound up on my longblock - pretty much the same as Dan's/Wisturbo's.

Let me see what I can find and I'll try to scan it and post it.

Actually the catalog is half swedish half english. Have to figure out what is relevant in the thing. It's a bit cryptic.

Stay tuned.

Hello everyone!!

Time definitely flies!! Old timer party :)

Bready, sorry to hear that was never sorted...assuming parts/manifolds and all never came?

I bought this head so long ago and shelved it, I am just trying to see which direction i should go. My new to me engine already has a 531.

I still have the blue 745...it is rough but there. I wonder if Jay still has that black one i sold him so long ago...

I plan to move the 745 over to our new place and getting some junk done this spring.

I also look at some stuff and wonder what I was thinking. :)

I naturally have...

A different set of wheels for it again

A dellow supra swap which i still need to get specs on for the pilot bushing and have an idea on that

Some older suspension pieces and ill be spurcing some new stuff more than likely...We'll see once i get under there?

Also the rot in the engine bay / battery tray got worse...

Interior will be gutted and ill see what i can save.

Also a modified redblock many of you know already has found its way to my garage.

I'll be revisiting a Megasquirt how to. I have one of the older less desirable units but it has a tune from that engine. Hopefully i can suss that out without too much headache. I don't mind wiring!

You could bring it bye sometime, have a cuppa tea and get a free nuanced translation.
