Anyone try the STS Machining Lift Kit?

Been wanting to ever so slightly raise the car so I can check the transmission on the road without having to put it on jacks...at least that's what I tell myself.

Anyway...has anyone tried this kit from STS Machining?

If so, I have a few questions....
How are the provided B8 rear shocks and what shocks are recommended for the front?
How is handling/steering the car?
Looks like the control arms are at a slant, is that alright compared to the level control arms on stock height?
Would 15" Virgo rims a better match than 14" Corona rims?
Will it work with BNE Offset Strut Mounts that are set to the "star" position/would the added 2 degrees of camber from the STS adapter on top of the BNE be too much?

My old 245 is going to be getting a set soon, it's gonna be turned into a rally car to abuse, so I'm hoping it can handle it. Hopefully it will be going on the gambler 500 next summer

Could you please let me know how it goes? Thinking of ordering a kit for my 89 wagon. Any photos once you have done it would be awesome! Thanks

Assuming the rear shocks are longer installed and with a longer stroke, that looks like a good place to start.

Control arm angle isn't a problem at this height, a basic alignment will solve lots of problems.

Always considering replacing the Cayenne with the right 245, but the right 245 has gotten much harder to find. Once I do, it will likely be this lift with lower gears and LSD in the rear, and spherical bearings everywhere possible to allow it to articulate without bind.

You will be limited on tire size with that style of life. The front tire will run on the lower spring perch in the front past a certain (exact dimensions escape me) size.

Considering either a 195/75/14 or 205/65/15 (Both are 25.5", which I've read should be be AOK)

Easy fix with a cheap coil-over sleeve and a 2.5" dia coil. Keep the length stock to maintain droop and compression, gain tire space. Cost me all of $100 on my last car.

I got a full set of Gaz adjustable shocks (rear installed and feel great, will be installing front soon-ish)
Also installed a set of 205/65/15 tires on Multi-X wheels, which lifted the car a bit.

Still considering the STS lift, but only if compatible with the Gaz shocks.
Can anyone confirm whether the Gaz struts/shocks are compatible with the 1.5" STS lift?

I went ahead and purchased the STS strut spacers and longer sway bar end links for the front and the BNE adjustable spring perch for the rear.

Also picked-up IPD rear overload springs
I tried the overloads 5 years ago; didn’t like them, but I figure stiffer springs are better for a lift, hopefully I won’t regret that, haha.

I recall the overloads lifting the rear, does anyone know how much the overloads lift? (I’ve read 0.75” somewhere…)
Trying to determine how much I need to adjust the BNE spring perches.
If the springs already lift 0.75”, then the BNE perches would only need a 0.75” adjustment rather than a full 1.5”?

It varies on each car. Depends on if worn bushings etc. Put them on the car drive it for a few miles to let it set, then adjust the perches. Then in like a month they are gonna sag some more so adjust again.
