Does any one know if a b234 will bolt on b230 non turbo bottom end
Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here
Thank you for being a part of our community!
They did help you. They pointed you to the build threads where it has been done and told you who to get in touch with to get any parts you need to pull off the job. It has been done SO MANY TIMES folks on here can't help but razz you a bit based on your initial question. The $14.99 part price and $500 car value is a tongue in cheek joke around here. Not all news are thick my car has stuff some people would give a testi for mate I've had my share of volvos thought I'd get some guidance on here regarding 16v job but seems so one wants to help I'll crack on and work it out I only give £500 for it 1 owner mint saloon with full history 84k on clock lol
It was in the build thread i posted.I'm not looking for spoon feeding I'm looking for advice I'm aware of alot just some bits and bobs I could do with a better understanding ie tensors for timing belt just little bits so can get a better understanding I'm not looking to really cut corners as its a nice built car and want to make a tidy job of it
Like I say I don't know about usa and so on but in the UK the b234 you have as much luck finding a talking dog than 16v there that un common hence sounding thick there's just not the availability and I really want to make it work I'm determined like 3 inch down pipe people say its ment to be hard on right hand drive 240 I have made one it works so well fits nice too just in process at minute of putting engine in as turbo seals failed on drive home from work spat oil and started knocking I understand winding nubes up its kinda frustrating in a way too because genuinley reaching out for my first time in time of owning volvos had 8 240s lost count of 7/9 series now started with them then went on to 240s as really fell out of love with 7/9,after bad run got rid of all then ended up with the really clean 1 owner one so thought this is one to build gathering the 8v stuff and stumbled across the b234 so want to make it a little unique in a way I've got it lowerd on salad shooters just a classy looking old carIt was in the build thread i posted.
I RARELY slag on noobs but you’re getting close.
Your tb card has been revoked
as I explained I was hoping to get in contact with some one who has done it to get come pictures of tensinor so on being in UK next to no one has done it it may be frustrating for you guys in the USA etc but trying to work out... bought a rear dizzy blank plate from yoshifab yeah it's £25 don't sound alot for a daft plate but import taxes it totaled to around £80 I feel I shouldn't have to explain myself but on a lower paying job i can't afford to order every part from yoshi fab for price of stupid taxes it takes my funding out of building my car I was looking to speak to some one who has actually done it who could send me pictures of tensinor etc part numbers so I can source it over here without paying for the part then twice what the price of part is on import taxes but just been made to feel a end by asking the questionDisappointment in my feeling actual human frustration aside:
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ SOME THREADS.
Learn what others did.
Take what you like and apply it. Cast aside what you don’t like.
Or ask chat gpt. Whatev.
The build thread i linked spells out what belt to use, etc. lots of threads do.
If you aren’t up for the task, no sweat. Enjoy the car and keep reading.
It can happen if you want to learn and apply yourself.
Search on here, but also use google to search, as demonstrated.
If you need further help, add different key words. “turbobricks” should be in the search query if you want more turbobricks returns. Add “.com” to possibly reduce the facebook pages. Hard to tell with google these days. They are more AI, less boolian these days.
Also search for
“teaching effective web searches“
I find it returns better than other combos.
