I promise I'm not trying to be a jerk, so let me attempt to explain what the members here are saying.

You've essentially walked in and stated you're attempting to make a ham sandwich, and rather than read a recipe you're asking repeatedly to speak directly to a ham sandwich maker. Many people here have made a ham sandwich and documented their sandwich making process, and are attempting to refer you to that documentation. Rather than follow the provided links and instructions to get to that documentation, you're asking them to recreate that documentation here, or at the very least contact you directly to do that.

The project you're looking to do has been done here many times before with exactly the pictures you're looking for. I feel your pain - buying and waiting for parts can be expensive, time consuming and frustrating, but the people here are trying to save you that headache by pointing you to what you're asking for. If you read the projects here (that are precisely what you're looking to do) you'll have a better understanding of what you need to do and what parts are needed. And if you still have questions, they'll be specific ones that we'll be better able to answer.

Can some one put me on to the names of threads I know going in to 240 may occur other problems like brake servo so on but just seems so trivial to be fair the whole things been a pain to be honest the gearbox blew up then clutch exploded then gathered bits then turbo went causing engine to knock hence trying to sus this 16v set up or put back on back burner build the 8v up just such niggly things am keeping trying obviously it's cost me around 2k the last 3 months on bits

OP, please press "Enter" on your keyboard between thoughts. My eyes hurt.

What threads do you need? Non-turbo is the same as turbo redblocks, any "Redblock 16v conversion" result from google would help.

You are aware of many things, just need some bits and bobs of information? Like, does a 16v head fit non-turbo bottom end?

Very important piece of advice - when you source a 16v head and go to install it, keep in mind that on a non-turbo redblock, head bolts loosen counter-clockwise.

Please, do come back later for how psi can a stock.

So I'm dyslexic we're not all rocket scientists here I have 8v turbo set up in turbo failed dumped oil out exhaust on motorway resulting in rod knock

So I bought a complete b234 with every intention to 16v turbo I have read alot of it I am aware of pistons valve reliefs so on

I'm genuinley struggling to get my head around tensinor side of things I tried reading YES GUYS AND GIRLS READING AND WRITING ISNT MY SPECIALITY SO BE IT I FEEL LIKE A IDIOT HAVING TO EXPLAIN MYSELF TO PEOPLE

I can't get my head around the tensinor side of it all I have sussed the rest I was hoping for a bit of help not really looking to be belittled in every aspect of it ideally need it explaining broke down so ca. Understand 1 bit am struggling with

What about the tensioner do you not understand? You need to be specific of what you know, and what you don’t.
I've seen diffrent suggestions quite common some sort of vw one used I believe? What car is it from model and engine size?

Dyslexic and lazy are 2 completely different things. Now that we have a better idea of what is going on people on here will likely help you get this straight in your mind what it takes to accomplish the swap.

I know you have to have
Valve reliefs in pistons
Round tooth cam pulley on intermediate shaft
Not sure what timing belt would be correct or tensionr

I was considering going on n/a bottom end as having a mare run out of b230s now

Order the kit from Josh at yoshifab.com and be done?

Here’s how i found that:
I stopped at the smash n dash for a grilled sausage and a chocolate shake, having been vegan all weekend. I doo my best searching after a sausage with grilled peppers snd onions.
Then i looked for golf mk2. Wikipedia gave me a range of years, i picked the middle. Went to rock auto. Picked 16v.
I would look at 8v as well, but when i did a cross-reference it popped up throughout the range, with all engines.
It’s an eccentric, so you should look into proper tension. Not too floppy, not new-snare-drum-tight.
