Hi all
Living in the UK my '93 240 is right hand drive.
This is great for the inlet side of things but not so for the exhaust which heats up the brake/clutch mastercylinders.
I have a twin scroll reverse flow turbo from an Evo 9 (TD05HR 16G). It is big and has a lot of cast iron which heat soaks. That side of the engine gets very very hot, to the extent that on a few occasions the brake and clutch no longer function.
I already use heat wrap and panels and have cut a hole in the bulkhead panel on that side of the car. The brake lines have been also been rerouted but the problem still remains.
I was thinking of using the flatter but wider 240 brake booster or any other if anyone can suggest one that is available here.
I'm mostly looking for alternatives to the present clutch setup. I want to keep it hydraulic but not sticking out in it's present position.
Are there any easy alternatives? I was thinking of reverse mounting the clutch m/c inside the car with a pivoted lever to operate and a remote reservoir.
This may or may not work - anyone any better ideas? - preferably without having to remove the dash etc!
