Chiquita - What Jordans been up to

Yeah, I saw that you linked to the 205 ones instead of the 195s. :) Still, these are supposedly 20mm wider, at least by "spec". Either way, I like that you're getting some grippy little tires instead of crap little tires.

So you're buying 195 or 205 tires because you don't have a tire sponsor, but then buy R-comps with a tread wear rating of 180? :???:

As was said before, the bottomline is I am going to buy whatever I want. I am not looking at those sizes because I want cheap tires. I am looking at those sizes because that's what I was thinking I might want. I made the tire sponsor remark not because I can't afford nice tires but because it is my money that will be buying them, and not all of you guys that get all worked up over tires. I don't have money right now for tires that doesn't mean I am buying some to fit my very temporary budget. This car has been off the road for years, I am not in a rush. Next week or the following, when my budget allows, I'll buy some nice tires. I don't want to sound snobby, but I don't think I've shown any signs of overall budget problems in my build. I paid some bills this week, and bought a few other parts... Just have to wait till next week. Geesh.

You really think I am going to throw some nankangs on there? Get real. But if the size of tire is really bugging you that much, don't read my thread!

Don't you guys have jobs and ****? Christ, a guy makes a few posts about tires and its the end of the world.

Like.

Ps. You just have to remember that there are thousands of us reading your thread and only one you. :-P

Found some extra money. Bought tires. lol. Got what Kyle posted. I read a lot of reviews on them and I like how they seem to perform, look etc.

Beginning to test fit my "new" E30 dashboard. Its pretty ridiculous how well it fits actually. I made a few studs to put in the three holes on the firewall to sit the dash on, and well - it lines up pretty damn well. It needs to be over to the drivers side slightly to fit the steering column perfectly, but other than that --- its damn near perfect. I am planning to epoxy the studs I made to the bottom of the dash itself, then bolt the sides to the car then make a "hoop" for the center console part. It sits just below where the original dash sat, so a new seal along the windshield will be needed also.

Yeah, BMW E30 :)

I've always liked how they look and how the center "console" is angled towards the driver. The gauge "pod" infront of the steering wheel will look sweet with a big tach and big speedo. The rest of the gauges will go in the center along with power switches and an S2000 push button ignition switch.

Got it set up as close as I can for the night. Only thing I can't really picture is how to support the steering column out further. I don't need the ignition switch and the original brace definitely gets in the way of the dashboard. So I'll need to get something that will attach to the column and be able to bolt to a custom brace that will get made. Cardboard time!

But I must say it looks pretty BA. (Yes I know its a tad low on the drivers side)
