What length did you cut the bolt/inserts to? I've seen a couple threads on this, but they don't actually give a dimension.
I will need to do this when I drop the trans for the LH conversion

I just hold the bolts up to the spring( mark it) and cut it just shy of the length of the springs...I leave maybe a couple mm of play to make sure the valve body still seals up

I would replace all the seals, orings, gaskets, and plastic check balls while you are in there.

It would also make sense to go change clutch discs and piston seals, etc. There is no point in modifying the pressure to a clutch pack if there is a rolled seal, torn seal, worn bore.

Would you be willing to rip apart your old trans and post pics? I haven't been into one of these.

So unrelated to the last oil leak this time the brass fitting for my oil feed (melted?) And the threads stripped and pil leaked everywhere again...replaced with stainless fitting. New wrap new blanket and on the way again. I recently acquired my dad's (rip 10.17.2022 miss you bro) camry which will be my new daily which frees me up to so aftermarket tuning...what's a good sub 1g option?(I also got his cj7 which will be taking a lot of time) I wanna take my build to the next level

That looks more like aluminum - the flare seat looks bad too - cross threaded & misaligned from the get-go, looks like

Wrong threading it's all good now...It was m12x1.5 and it the correct is m12x1.25....still not where it failed though, the an side did
