Did you replace any seals/gaskets while you had the trans out? I recommended freshening up the trans while you had it on the bench....

Did you put longer bolts for the TC accidentally?

Admittedly I didn't not do gaskets, I put the factory bolts in but one came loose and that appears to be where the leak is coming from after I heard the flex plate vibrate kinda badly

I won't know anything till it's apart but as I wiped away fluid and it started to drip(car was nose up in the air) I could only see fluid coming from by one of the bolts. I'll know when I get it apart

That's a new one. My guess is somebody lowered the trans with the TC still seated in the flexplate, binded that "nub", and cracked the weld. I've had some cars have the TC rusted into the flex plate and it took some serious prying to break it free, an there was damage to the bushing inside the TC at that point and it needed to be replaced.

Time for a new converter.

It's weird because it worked really well for a while, oh well I'll get a new one thanks

Got the tranny on but I can't tell if the tc came unseated so back off it comes because of my paranoia 😑
Popped it off and turns out it was seated just fine🙄 away put it back on(only took about 40 mins or so) and now heading out to pnp to grab some tc bolts from a 740 there so I can get this car back on the road

Well it must be seated right because I started it up with no issues....however the linkage isn't right because in park it rolls and won't go into 1 so my park is actually neutral 🤣 oh well a battle for a different day, I'll fix that and put some fluid it and take it for a spin when the weather gets a little nicer in a few days
