do aluminium accessory bushings wear out?

i had the same experience as jack. i had poly motor mounts. only accessory i had was an alternator it was aligned well and bolts were tight. after maybe 5k they were still usable but had notable wear both on the outer surface and in the bolt hole.
 
idk I think plastic isn’t strong enough /s


There must be a reason for rubber bushings on these engines, maybe because they vibrate so much it would cause early accessory failures

James M said no one really does this but then you don’t see the other cars from that time still driving without much work
