Have anyone of you tried the ebay no name CBV or diverter valve? It is made out of aluminum and is a copy of the Forge replacement diverter valve for the Bosch OEM (Saab). It features an aluminum piston instead of a diaphragm.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I personally have not had any experience with knockoff CBVs, but I have with knockoff BOVs. I've also had experience with several name brand CBVs and BOVs. In my experience, the knockoffs weren't worth purchasing.

The Forge unit is very nice and not that expensive. I had one for a short while, and I have their Unos MBC currently. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest just picking up the Forge one and avoiding potential headaches. Other people's experiences may differ I suppose.

Edit: This thread runs along the same lines, but for BOVs. Worth poking through.

It seems the copy you found is one of the better ones.
I'd say go for it. You'll never know until you try.

no experiance with the cbv but i have purchaseda few ebay clone blow off valves... the ebay clones of the turbo xs RFL are well worth the 20-40 you would spend on them. i have had 3 of them and loved everyone looks and sounds like the real deal

Thanks for the input!

i have had bad experience with ebay blow off valve/by-pass valves, they always caused compressor surge and leaked boost... i do run about 22psi but i had to spend again and buy the real thing before i got something that wasn't only robbing power (leaking boost) but also opening when it is supposed to.

Are there any BOV's two way? Part blow off and part bypass/recirc? Because on 7XX, there are holes where the CBV mounts and the bypassed gas is routed on the 2 boost hoses pre IC. I don't want to replace all these hoses.

No, you either blow off the the atmos or recirculate
