Eric Olsson's 242

It'll always be still going :). I graduated in 2009, so that's probably why we never met. Yeah, I was mainly working on V40 and V45 when I was there. I graduated and started working full time, so I did not make it to the competition though.

Well, I'm about 7500km away from the car, so it's not going too fast. I have however made a new decision for the front suspension that will be super awesome and good and bring the car more in line with the overall mindset of the project . Since I'm working as an engineer at Volvo now I've been able to do a lot of driving on the new SPA platform, and the performance of these cars at the limit has given me a whole new level of driving confidence. I will also be getting extremely familiar with the tuning this layout, so I'll have that going for me too. So I will definitely be retrofitting the front double wishbone setup onto the 240.

Very jealous of you skills. Hope to see it finished sooner than later. Hats off to you.

Guy lives in Sweden and the car lives in the PNW. You will only see updates every 6-12 months on a good year.

Looking really nice and interesting... Needed to subscribe to follow this!

Eric, if you are still in Sweden there is plenty of nice cars and car shows to get inspiration, like: http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/07/the-engines-of-gatebil/

You all probably know these cars, however I'll add the links anyway...
Hilmersson racing Opel Manta, with B234 and supercharger and turbo: http://www.hilmersson-racing.com/manta-bildarkiv/
There are also youtube videos (mainly in Swedish) about this car and how the combination of supercharger and turbo works.

Just generally quite nice Volvo: http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/01/turbo-bricking-it-riding-in-a-740hp-volvo/

Keep on the good work with the car!!

All matter will be in the form of a homogeneous gray cloud and the temperature of everything will be hovering at 0K. Except for Eric's 242.
