essential turbo mods

I am looking to do some engine modification to my 91 940 turbo car, at this point I am just looking to do minimal to slightly more involved mods to enhance the performance ,I'm pretty handy with wrenches so I can do the work no problem ...just need to know how to get the most bang for the buck .should I and can I add some chips , bigger waste gate exhaust mods . and I am also trying to fab a cold air intake I would appreciate all the help. also does anyone know any shops in the rocky mt .region of lets say Salt lake city or denver that are hip to volvo perf. mods thanks

Personally I'd fix the handling before I even considered upping the power on a brick...
