I had my evaporator exposed for about 7 months.... i reconnected everything last summer.... but it had crappy AC performance so i went out and purchased an condesor and an accumulator. My question is.... does the fact that i had my evaporator exposed for such a long time going to deteriorate my AC performance. Should i purchase another one?

Its converted to R134a.

Unknown...but one should have flushed system before evacuating system, and then recharge it.

Chances are, ain't nothing wrong with it....you need to use gauges to see what pressures are.

If you have an expansion valve hooked to evaporator, this may be shooting craps on you...not the evaporator....need gauges to know what's happening.

PS: I assume your fan clutch (or electric fan, if applicable) is in good working order...you have to draw air thru condenser.
