This can be a tricky question given how many times these cores have been rebuilt. However, those that were unmolested (original) in my experience used the same thread you'd find on a zerk fitting - 1/4 -28 UNF. Both the British Girling fronts and the German Alfred Teves rears.
Actually zerks are 1/16" x 27 npt, although the 1/4" x 28" is close enough to make zerks work if you only thread it in a little way.
bosch coolant temp sensor pn: 0280130032 from the back of the lh 2.4 head is m11x1.5 and does fit.
The inside diameter of the hose is 8mm. The fittings are measured at the barbs.
Most suppliers sell the hard plastic (polyamide) hose by the meter, including Volvo. It's a little difficult to install the hose, but it lasts forever (unless it gets twisted).

The rubber hose is just high pressure FI hose.
I have both types of hose in stock.
