Who's heated seats have packed up, the heated seats in the previous volvo only lasted as long as about 6 months from when we had it 3 years ago, that was a 1989, and the other volvo that we have recently bought which is a 1987 dont work at all.
What about yours?

we were considering getting them sorted out but it might just be too much trouble just for the seats

my '87 740T and my '88 745T heated seats never worked . . . .

'94 960 the driver's side heated seat works great (warms up fairly quick and you can really feel it in the leg and lower back area), passenger side heated seat works and will warm up the back and butt area but not the leg area which sucks. I've been using them with the rain and cool weather lately. Sometimes the passenger side doesn't work right away and I have to turn the switch off then back on a couple of times. I have a feeling these will probably go out soon unfortunately.

Warm buns?

Only way to get warm buns is by baking them in oven. My last fix lasted one season. Not worth it to rebuild them every year. I start the car and lock it while I walk the dog, then the block has heat when I leave for work 45 minutes later.

The 9xx heated seats last a lot lot longer. The driver seat in the 90 744ti doesn't work. I am thinking of swapping either 900 seats or the 900 seat warmers into the 7 so that I don't have to fix it again.

1985 760 Turbo. Just bought it last week, seat heaters don't work. I have a light on the passenger switch, but not the driver's switch. Just got the first really cold weather last week, too.

On our 93 240 I had replaced the seat grid on the drivers & now both are steamin' :)
