Homer's 1990 240 redblock exorcism

I'm curious about the exhaust too. Was thinking about doing a similar thing on mine. I have two big straight through mufflers, but it is a bit too loud for my taste at idle-1500rpm and too quiet from 3000+rpm.
What backbox are you using?

Ok, we gotta hear this exhaust bud.
Ask and you shall receive. It's loud with the valve open. I love it.

I spy a 996 facelift lurking in the background...

Bummer about the oil leak, gotta be a bit annoying!
Sure do, I've had it since May 2022. Absolutely love the thing.

Oh buddy, 996 c4s is the ideal car. We've got a 996tt and it's just too much sometimes. That maybe sounded like a flex and wasn't meant like that whatsoever.

You tracking it at all? And plans for it?

Where’s the improvement? Or is it in multiple areas?
Steering feel, weight etc. Feels a way more direct, guessing the stiffer torsion bar has something to do with this. Effort is higher at low speeds but that's expected.
The inner holes on the QSRCs are just terrible at low speeds and cannot come close to how this rack feels.

They originally quoted me 5 weeks, but it ended up taking 12 weeks. I'm sure some of that was because of summer holiday. Worth the wait.

hmm, I might have to temporarily install the CAM rack I have in my car and ship the ZF out. If you don't mind sharing, can you shoot me a PM with a rough price you are into it?

Haha ok I'll share. Assuming you already have a ZF core.
Core shipping US-->SE: $200
Rebuild w/ return shipping: $1160 (11100 SEK)
Duties in August, 2025 (might be lower now) : $300

Total: $1660

This is why I don't add up costs on the 240.

Total: $1660
That was fun. Keep going!
