How hard is it to remove the rear springs

on a 240? I need to go grab a couple before I go to SLO to pick up a 245, but I don't know how involved it is to get them out at the junkyard, especially since the cars are sitting on the axles instead of the frame. OR: Does anyone have a spare set of springs in SLO or nearby?

Not as easy as it sounds. Ditto on the car sitting on the axles up high, tough to get a jack under the body up that high.
Had to have the P&P yard bring their fork-lift over to lift the ass-end of a 245 to get rear springs out once, but they do just fall out.

Just watch out for their, well, springiness. At some junkyards jacks aren't allowed, and with how they lift up the cars, sometimes it takes a bit of effort to yank them out. Not a lot, but enough that if you're not paying attention, that spring will hit you somewhere nice and you'll probably be a little bit upset
