How wide we can go?

Volvo 940 wagon 1997 Hi, I was looking for some info on widest possible wheels BUT without Rolling, bending etc. and without removing liners. Planning On increasing and upgrading suspension so tyres that are high profile or thin wont work at all. Advice needed ASAP. Thank You in advance.

Oh okay, and I can be 100% sure that it is going to fit onto my 940 wagon without any mods apart from spacers? And what about ET? It is the same as the stock wheel?

But how do You know that 225/40/17 is going to fit? What ET should I look for?

If an inch wider is 25.4mm wider, and you want the same distance from the strut, subtract half that (12-13mm) from the offset.
I don’t remember the offset of a rwd 7” factory wheel like multi-x, but the info is available if you search. I have not felt compelled to add this to my work load.
